All-Russian (and International) Physics Olympiad in honour of V.E. Alemasov is organized by KNRTU-KAI named after A.N. Tupolev and by the Tatarstan Academy of Science for 1st - 3rd year students. The Olympiad is named after Vyacheslav Yevgenyevich Alemasov, a renowned Russian and Soviet scientist specializing in thermal power engineering, who was a Full Member (Academician) of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the Department of Physical and Technical Problems of Energetics. Stage 1 is held in Autumn: participants have three months (from November 1 to January 31) to complete an online test corresponding to their year of study within a set time limit. Stage 2 will be held in February in a hybrid format. Students from Kazan will complete the final round's tasks in person at one of the KNRTU-KAI buildings. Out-of-town participants, as well as international participants, can complete the tasks remotely using a proctoring system. The Olympiad tasks for students are based on the standard general physics curriculum for the first three years of study.
